There are about3000 lakes, about 1500 pondsandabout29 thousandrivers,
smallriversandchannels in Lithuania. The status of fishresources in
thesewaters is goodandverygood. Commercial fishing was illegally prohibited
within these waters. IT WAS PROHIBITED BY:
Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Speaker of the Seimas Viktoras
Pranckietis
Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis
Minister of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania Kęstutis Navickas
All about this issue is known to President of the Republic of Lithuania
Dalia Grybauskaitė – but no reaction.
30 percent of citizens (about 1 mln.) emigrated from Lithuania.
About 25 percent of Lithuanians have been living below the poverty line.
Lithuania is the world leader in drunkenness.
Lithuania has the lowest wages and the most expensive living in the European
Union.
About 4 billionseuros of investments from the European Union are affected by
corruption relations.
In the lakes on the Lithuanian border commercial fishing is permitted by
Belorussian and Russian governments, while it is prohibited by Lithuanian
government.
We require to allocate 500 tons in 2017 and 1000 tons in 2018 limits for
commercial fishing in lakes and ponds (roach, silvery breams, redeyes,
breams, perches, pikes, zanders, crucians).
