11. Paradoxes

Lithuania is one of the world leaders in terms of consumption of alcohol per one person.
Lithuania has one of the lowest wages in the European Union.

Fish stocks have increased by 1.5 times.
About 1 million (around 25 percent) people, mostly because of the poverty, have emigrated abroad.
About 20 percent are living below the poverty threshold.
It is beyond comprehension why, with the heads of Lithuania, President D. Grybauskaitė, President G. Nausėda, Speaker of the Seimas V. Pranckietis, Prime Minister S. Skvernelis, Ministers, politicians, and heads of law enforcement authorities being aware of the situation, with the presence of difficult living conditions in Lithuania and absence of FORCE MAJEURE circumstances, the requirements of the Law on Fisheries of the Republic of Lithuania have been in default since in 2015 and businessmen are banned from fishing for roach, perch, crucian carp, pike, bream, tench, rudd, zander, or white bream in lakes; furthermore, they want to ban it LEGALLY. Therefore, that would seem to be the ELECTORAL OBJECTIVES of parties, politicians, and interest group to destroy small lake fishing business that dates backs to the oldest of times.
These people WOULD SELL their mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, a relative, and even the MOTHERLAND.
